REGULATIONS

Contestants

Any non professional filmmaker which still isn´t acclaimed in the film industry.

Format

DVD (the commonest a DVD player can play). Short films shot in 35 mm will not be accepted.

Subject

Free.

Inscription

Until August 31, 2010. Each participant can submit as many films as desired, whenever these films have not been submitted before to this festival. Contestants agree to give the exhibition rights while the festival takes place.

Language

Films sound or soundless can be presented on any language. Whenever the language was different from the official languages of the Festival (Spanish, and Basque), the film should be sub-tittled into one of the mentioned languages before.

Duration

The films can not exceed 30 minutes.

The films, attached to the application form, will be delivered to:

Selection

Both the Selection of the participant films and the screening programme will be designed by a committee in charge of viewing all submitted films previously.

Jury

It will comprise persons closely concerned with cinema, arts, literature and information society fields.

Films Screening

The Official Section will take place in the Zalla theatre (Zalla Zine-antzokia) from the 15th to the 20th of November, 2010.

* URRIA ZINEMA will do the screening of the films so carefully as possible, but won´t be responsible of any problem during it.

Prize announcement

The prize will be supported by an attorney power and it won´t be open to appeal. Final decision will be communicated to the participants. Any prize can be not awarded. Jury can grant special mentions to outstanding films in the festival.

Awards

The Format of the different films will not be distinguished and all of them will compete under the same conditions:

*The awarded Festival best short film will be only able to be awarded in the Best Film from Encartaciones and Spectators Best film sections

**Films to compete for this prize must be included in the Official Section.

Closure

Saturday, 20th of November, 2010. Presentation and awarded films´screening.

Films return

Tapes will be filed in URRIA ZINEMA archives. They will not be returned unless requested by their owners.
